Ford 5.2L Voodoo Engine

The Voodoo is a 5.2-liter, naturally aspirated V8 engine from Ford Motor used to power sports cars like the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350/350R. Featuring a dual overhead cam (DOHC) design, in a V configuration, the Ford Voodoo architecture has been part of the Ford Modular family since 2015.

This engine is hand-built and was specifically designed for the Shelby GT350 and GT350R, which is an lighter and even more track-focused version of the car. Contrary to the 5.2L Predator engine with which it shares many components, the Voodoo engine utilizes a flat plane crankshaft. This reduces the engine’s overall weight while allowing it to rev faster and higher.
